Every year, governments from almost every part of the world meet to discuss a problem that respects no borders: climate change. These conferences are known as COPs, short for the Conference of the Parties to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change. It is where countries negotiate commitments to limit global warming and address its effects.
