George Russell converted pole position into victory at the Austrian Grand Prix on Sunday, leading a race defined by strategy, tire management and relentless pressure from Max Verstappen until the closing laps. The Mercedes driver controlled the race for most of the afternoon at Spielberg and resisted the Red Bull challenge to secure his first Grand Prix victory since the season opener in Australia.
