United States Extends National Emergency Declaration Against Brazil for Another Year

The White House has announced a one-year extension of the United States' national emergency declaration regarding Brazil. The decision keeps in force the executive order signed by U.S. President Donald Trump on July 30, 2025, which declared that policies and actions by the Brazilian government constitute an "unusual and extraordinary" threat to the national security, foreign policy and economy of the United States.
