Brazil Advances Toward A Malaria Vaccine

The Brazilian Health Regulatory Agency (Anvisa) has authorized human trials of Vivaxin, a vaccine candidate designed to protect against malaria caused by *Plasmodium vivax*. Developed using entirely Brazilian technology, the research is led by the Vaccine Technology Center at the Federal University of Minas Gerais (UFMG).
