The number of deaths caused by Ebola in the Democratic Republic of Congo has surpassed 4,000, according to government data released on Friday, October 2. The outbreak has recorded 8,300 confirmed cases across seven provinces and has become the deadliest Ebola outbreak ever recorded in the country.
