The Ebola outbreak caused by the Bundibugyo virus continues to spread across the Democratic Republic of the Congo, keeping international health authorities on high alert. Although Uganda has not reported any new cases since late June, the World Health Organization (WHO) says the epidemic is still in an expansion phase, driven by population movements, strained healthcare services, and the challenges of responding in conflict affected areas.
