IDB Expands Latin America Security Fund to US$4 Billion

The Inter-American Development Bank (IDB) has increased its funding for public security projects in Latin America and the Caribbean from US$2.5 billion to US$4 billion for the 2026–2028 period, following stronger-than-expected demand from countries seeking financial support to combat violence and organized crime.
