The Washington Post published an opinion article by Brazilian President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva on Sunday (July 26), in which he sharply criticized the United States’ tariff policy toward Brazil. In the piece, Lula rejected the arguments used to justify the new tariffs, argued that the measures would also damage the U.S. economy, and declared that “Brazil will not be defeated by lies.”
