For more than seven decades, the floor of the Atlantic Ocean concealed one of the defining episodes in the history of civil aviation. In July 2026, an expedition led by the Air Sea Heritage Foundation located the wreckage of the Clipper Endeavor, a Pan American World Airways Douglas DC-4 that vanished after a controlled ditching off the northern coast of Puerto Rico in April 1952.
