Mercosur Extends Duty-Free Import Relief and Cuts Trade Red Tape

Companies operating across Mercosur will face fewer administrative hurdles when importing products that are unavailable or insufficiently supplied within the bloc. Member countries have approved a new measure that doubles the validity period of authorizations allowing temporary reductions of import duties to zero during supply shortages.
